Beware of fraudulent e-mails claiming to be from a parcel delivery service

Updated March 31, 2010

A current virus circulating on the internet involves an email purportedly from UPS, Fed Ex or DHL that contains a packet number and an attachment. The e-mail will state that the delivery company was unable to deliver a package to you on a certain date. The e-mail will then instruct you to print out the attached invoice in order to claim the package at their local office. DO NOT TRY TO PRINT THE ATTACHMENT. Printing the attachment will launch a virus on your computer. This virus can cause substantial damage and costs.
